Milestone! China’s passenger cars in Russia have exceeded one million

As of July 1,2023, there were 1.08 million Chinese passenger cars in Russia, according to Autostat, a Russian auto market analyst. 

According to the news, so far, Chinese passenger cars account for 2.4% of the total number of Russian cars. 
According to Autostat data, Chery brand accounts for 28% of the total number of Chinese passenger cars in the Russian market. As of July 2023, there were 304,300 Chery cars registered in Russia. 

Geely ranked second (210,200 registered in Russia as of July 2023) and Lifan ranked third (152,400 registered). At the same time, the top five cars include Haval and Great Wall (141,900 and 121,400 registered respectively). 

According to the news, Russia's most popular Chinese passenger car model is Chery Ruihu, which had 56,000 vehicles in Russia as of July 1,2023. 

By the end of 2023,46 new models of 20 Chinese car brands, including 13 electric cars, will enter the Russian car market. 

According to Russian analyst Autostat, Chinese cars accounted for 75.7 percent of all new cars supplied to Russia in the first half of 2023. 

In 2022, Russians bought 121,800 new Chinese cars. Chinese Chery, Haval and Geely were the most popular in Russia last year, accounting for 82 percent of all Chinese cars bought by Russians. (China-Russia Information)
